About me

Born in Lima, Peru, Leslie Caballero began her musical studies when she was 8 years old with cellist Annika Petrozzi and later entered the National Conservatory of Music of Peru. She continued her studies in Guanajuato, Mexico where she received her Bachelors in cello performance.

Leslie has participated in master classes with William Molina, Martín Debeto, Castro Balbi, Gavriel Lipkind, Yo-Yo Ma, and the Kronos Quartet. She served as principal cellist of the Silvestre Revueltas Youth Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the National School of Music during their tour of Germany. She has performed as soloist with the National Conservatory Orchestra of Peru and in Mexico with the Camerata of Querétaro and Guanajuato Symphony orchestras.

Currently she lives in Naples, Florida where she performs with the Naples Philharmonic, Naples Community Orchestra and the Camerata of Naples.
